Full Job Description

As an Assistant Psychologist your main role will be to undertake short-term face-to-face interventions in community settings, homes of children, young people and families and city schools. The post holder will also be undertaking online high-quality assessment, followed by a review with our individuals of the impact achieved.

As the successful applicant you'll have an upper second class (2:1) or above honours degree in Psychology that makes them eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society. You'll have significant experience in working directly with children, young people and with parents, for example: experience of teaching, youth work, mentoring, emotional wellbeing, mental health support or experience working currently as an Assistant Psychologist. In addition, you'll have effective communication skills, both oral and written to ensure the above can be completed in a professional and relevant manner. You'll be required to analyse data and produce statistical reports too.

You'll hold the ability to demonstrate a significant knowledge of a wide range of psychological methods and perspectives which underpin the work of an applied psychologist and provide significant knowledge of children and adolescent development.

Due to the nature of this post you'll be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Both posts are full time working hours our typically Monday to Thursday, 8.30am till 5.00pm and 8.30am till 4.30pm on a Friday however, part-time job shares will be considered. You'll be located at New Parks House, Pindar Road, Leicester.
