Associate Brand Protection Counsel

The Associate Brand Protection Counsel (UK-Based) reports to the Legal Director of Global Brand Protection for Nutrition and North America and plays a critical role in developing and implementing trademark, design, and copyright strategies for Reckitt globally., In summary, you'll:

• Engage in the full spectrum of the product innovation process, from conceptualization to market launch, coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Marketing, R&D, Corporate Communications, and Regulatory.


• Conduct detailed analyses of trademark search results to provide clear opinions on the availability for use and registration of trademarks.


• Offer strategic advice to the business on a range of IP issues, managing trademark, design, and domain name portfolios.


• Advise on the trademark and copyright elements of advertising, promotions, and packaging, ensuring brand integrity.


• Handle IP conflicts, including oppositions, pre-litigation and litigation, in partnership with in-market counsel and external law firms globally.


• Actively participate with the Global Brand Protection Anti-Counterfeiting/Online team to combat counterfeiting activities.


• Negotiate brand-related IP agreements, including trademark licenses and co-existence/settlement agreements.
  
  Accreditation as a qualified trademark attorney or lawyer.


• IP experience in brand protection within a law firm or in-house at an internationally focused organization.


• Fluent in English with exemplary drafting skills.


• Proven ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced setting and adapt to evolving priorities.


• Demonstrated teamwork and organizational capabilities.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong influence and collaborative spirit.


• Pragmatic, discreet, and solution-focused approach, complemented by hands-on and independent working style.
