Full Job Description

The Berkshire Intensive Support Team (IST) is an innovative multi-disciplinary team, using a Positive Behaviour Support framework and a Human Rights based approach, covering the whole of Berkshire. The IST won an award for Excellence in Practice within the first year of operation and is continuing to provide an excellent service.
We work people with learning disabilities, whose behaviour other people find challenging, and the people that support them, within their homes. We also work with inpatient services, the individual and their supporters, to ensure people can be discharged as soon as they are ready.
We are looking for a Behaviour Therapist to join the team, due to internal promotion.
We would particularly welcome applications from clinicians with an experience/interest in applied behaviour analysis and positive behaviour support. The work will be challenging and varied, requiring complex assessment and the provision of behavioural interventions, working directly with people referred to the team and/or indirectly with the people and systems around them., + You will hold your own caseload
+ You will act as case lead coordinating the multidisciplinary assessment and intervention for the people on your caseload.
+ You will provide behavioural consultation to the MDT, staff teams and carers for people open to the Intensive Support Team, Appointment to any position is conditional on the satisfactory completion of the core NHS Employment Checks Standards.
