Full Job Description

  • Design and facilitate workshops, interviews and meetings with business stakeholders to understand, capture and document existing business processes and desired changes, to create the 'As Is' and 'To Be' picture.

  • Perform data collection and analysis to support the development of business cases / projects.

  • Perform process mapping, data analysis and apply lean six sigma principles to drive business efficiency and effectiveness. Help to shape and define processes and practices to continually improve ways of working.

  • Articulate process, systems, data, people related requirements, documenting accurately to ensure all requirements are valid and traceable.

  • Facilitate meetings with a range of internal stakeholders and contractors to obtain information and reach conclusions aligned with project objectives.

  • Listen closely to stakeholders to understand their obstacles and aspirations.

  • Document deliverables in appropriate formats to a high quality and present findings clearly and concisely both written and verbally.

  • Build and maintain good business relationships with all stakeholders to develop information / knowledge and share across the team and wider business as required.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and other project and team members to provide accurate effort estimates for tasks and provide updates to ensure delivery within agreed timescales and budget.

    Strong progress mapping and analytical and data analysis skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communication language and style based on the audience

  • Strong written communication skills over a range of medium including email, specification documents, decision support papers and status reporting

  • Able to present to large and small groups and facilitate group discussions

  • Strong relationship building skills across a diverse range of stakeholders

  • Excellent team player, able to collaborate with a diverse groups of stakeholders (both internal and 3rd party)

  • Ability to self-manage, being proactive and disciplined in delivering work commitments to time and quality expectations

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and critically evaluate problem statements and documentation requirements gathering and analysis

  • Strong attention to detail in all forms of work

  • Data-fluent; ability to interpret, analyse, evaluate and model data across a range of sources, Excellent understanding of all aspects of Business Analysis

  • Experience of Lean Six Sigma

  • Experience of organisational design and development projects

  • Experience of delivering within a technical environment

  • Experience developing relationships across the business (back office and field operations) Experience of working with third party suppliers and driving their performance

  • Experience in using techniques / methodologies including business analysis, project management and change management

  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments

  • Experience in the water industry or closely related industries (e.g. Energy/ Telecoms)

    This role will be providing Business Analyst activities to support the delivery of a strategic programme linked to Organisational Design. The role holder will also be required to provide change management expertise and project support as required.
