Cabinet Finisher / Trainee Cabinet Finisher

We're looking for an enthusiastic cabinet finisher/or trainee cabinet finisher to join our Fat Radish Kitchen Co. team. We would love for you to be passionate about bespoke furniture, and if not experienced in the field then training will be provided to help the candidate learn the skills and knowledge for the spraying process required to produce our bespoke projects to an exceptional standard. You will work alongside out our team, working together to make unique kitchens, but also manufacturing various other bespoke pieces such as wardrobes, vanity units, pantries and boot rooms., Below are some details of what the job role will include. If not already experienced in, training will be provided for the below:-

• Applying a range of finishes such as water-based paint, staining and clear and pigmented lacquers


• Tracking the progress of all items running through the spray booth


• Prepping items prior to finish


• Treat items with oils, lacquer and varnishes


• Create sample swatches in-line with customer requirements


• Performing quality checks on items throughout the finishing process


• Produce finishes to match samples


• Set-up, clean and maintain all Spray Equipment


• Ensure materials are prepared and mixed to the correct colour and consistency


Also preferred would be:-

• An understanding of the installation process would be beneficial, as installation work on site may be required from time to time.


• Driving license.
  
  We are looking for a candidate who:-


• Is a self motivated, and willing to work on projects their self, ensuring deadlines are met


• Will be able to work with the team to produce bespoke kitchens and cabinetry.


• Has a desire to continuously learn and improve.


• Is passionate about making bespoke furniture, and a creative, energetic team player.


• Either has experience in cabinet finishing, or if not, has experience in a working environment already, though not necessarily a career/workplace similar to this position.


• Processes an eye for detail and quality.


• Is tidy and organised and keeps work area well maintained.


• Is flexible and willing to do overtime to complete a job if required.


• Loading and unloading van will be required.
