Full Job Description

  • Produce high quality, professional drawings within the specified timeframe, for ease of fabrication and to promote NOV FGS products.

  • Embrace design for manufacture and endeavor to develop efficient solutions to business challenges.

  • Ensure drawings match materials allocated within respective estimating spreadsheets and meet PO (Project Orders) requirements when possible.

  • Create and assist in SOI's (Standard Operating Instructions) and System Improvements

  • Develop knowledge and experience in PX products and fabrication procedures and suggest improvements.

  • Ensure customer design requirements are effectively illustrated to NOV FGS Plymouth factories.

  • Communicate with suppliers and clients when applicable.

  • Mentoring and training of NOV FGS Plymouth personnel

  • Provide and maintain a BOM from CAD Drawings & Models (when required/possible).

  • Log Hours

  • Adhere to SOI's and BMS (Business Management Systems).

    The NOV (National Oilwell Varco) FGS (Fiber Glass Systems) Plymouth CAD/CAM Apprentice operates within the CAD/CAM Team managed by the Digital Design Manager. The CAD/CAM team is a sub-department of ADAM (Advanced Design and Manufacturing) Engineering Services. The CAD/CAM Apprentice is a dedicated role within the CAD/CAM team to support the creation of drawing and 3D models to support delivery of projects. These include but are not limited to providing technical knowledge and support (to all areas of the business), training, producing drawings, checking drawings and supporting sales. These will need to be provided in accordance with customer & NOV FGS Plymouth requirements specified by the respective client and/or PM., Every day, the oil and gas industry's best minds put more than 150 years of experience to work to help our customers achieve lasting success.
