Childcare Activity Leader

JC Sports are looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic individuals to deliver after school activities at one of our wrap around clubs. We are looking to recruit activity leaders for our location in Chichester. This would suit someone with childcare experience or working with children in education.

The successful candidate will run a wraparound club in one of our primary schools to provide a childcare option for working parents. This will include delivering a mixture of fun games and activities for the children to enjoy as well as providing them opportunities to be active and play sports. The successful candidate will need to be organised, professional, approachable, punctual, flexible, extremely enthusiastic and have a strong passion for working with young children providing active and safe childcare activities. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Hours: 3-6pm

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be able be to demonstrate the following:

-Knowledge of how to plan and deliver a wide range of activities aimed at the primary age range in a childcare setting.

-Ability to work both with other members of staff as well as individually.

-Understanding of the differences between the age groups and abilities in a range of schools.

-Strong behaviour management ability.

-Advanced knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.

Qualifications and Skills:

ESSENTIAL:

Experience of working with children.

Full driving licence

DESIRABLE:

Childcare Qualifications

Paediatric Level 3 First aid qualified (or willing to gain qualification)

Trained in Safeguarding Children (or willing to gain qualification).

Enhance DBS Checked (or willing to gain qualification).
