Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join forces with a leading construction company specialising in public sector and commercial construction projects in the South of England. Typical clients include County Councils, Local Authorities, NHS hospitals and primary care units, schools, colleges, and churches.

Contracts Manager Duties:

- Plan and coordinate a project from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, and working alongside our Quantity Surveyors for costings and budget.

- Overseeing the buying of materials.

- Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control.

- Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress.

- Check design documents with architects, surveyors, and engineers.

- Successfully manage several projects simultaneously.

- Willingness to always follow ISO45001 Health & Safety guidelines.

Contracts Manager Requirements

Strong communication skills.

- Leadership skills.

- Excellent planning and organisational skills

- Strong attention to detail.

- Commercial Sector Experience.

- An awareness of health and safety procedures and legislation.

- Sound commercial awareness.

- Numerical and IT skills, including knowledge of relevant building methods and project management software to manage information and finances during the project.

- Minimum of 1 year within a contracts Management Position.
