Full Job Description

We are seeking a Corporate Learning & Development Trainer to join our innovative team within the Training Division. With a flair for Leadership, Coaching and personal development, the right candidate will enable our officers and staff to be the best version of themselves through engaging classroom and online initiatives.

The role is hybrid, with a blend of working from home, your nearest site or facilitating learning at any of our UK sites or venues. (Travel and subsistence will be provided)

Role Responsibilities:

Some of the key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Facilitate engaging and empowering training initiatives

  • Contribute to the design and development of learning programmes and sessions, identifying and incorporating training and learning methodologies that are capable of meeting individual and organisational learning needs

  • Use a wide range of learning methodologies ensuring learners are, engaged, motivated, and supported during and following the learning initiative

  • Maintain personal CPD to keep up to date with current thinking around Leadership, training practice and methods.

  • Energy and enthusiasm to enable the achievement of personal, team and organisational goals, This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working, the split will be agreed between the individual and line manager upon appointment.

    Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development (or equivalent)

  • Qualified or appropriate experience in Leadership, Management and/or Coaching

  • Effective stakeholder relationship management skills,

  • Understands the adult learning principles and processes

  • Understands and applies best practises in designing, developing and adapting learning materials and resources.

  • Able to build and follow project plans, and to identify and mitigate risks to service delivery,

  • Able to review own performance objectively and to develop and maintain a continuous professional development plan.


  • Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Email

  • Numerically and grammatically accurate

  • Applies learning needs analysis, the Kirkpatrick Model and quality assurance processes,

  • Creation of 'end to end' training interventions (both face to face and through e-learning)


  • Experience and Track Record
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, which requires high degree of flexibility whilst retaining high levels of organisation

  • Experienced in facilitating training across Leadership subjects using a variety of multiple formats,

  • Experienced in commanding a classroom setting and achieving practical learning outcomes.

    Up to £38, 027 per annum plus a £2,000 South East Allowance (for Culham) and a generous benefits package
