Our main aims are: To ensure, as far as possible, that each pupil placed at Hope View is given every opportunity to learn, be supported and be listened to. To support pupils in the development of their Literacy and Numeracy skills by increasing reading, spelling

To ensure pupils are well equipped by the time they leave Hope View to deal with working life, college, apprenticeships and are able to make a positive contribution to society. Our door is always
open to visitors with or without an appointment. We encourage visitors to experience for themselves the calm atmosphere and pleasant learning environment of Hope View. Our pupils are very proud of their school and welcome the opportunity to show it off to visitors whenever they can. Hope View School is a member of the National Association of Special Schools. "Recent work to strengthen the school's English curriculum is paying dividends. Staff have clear plans to work from. They know what to teach in these key subjects as pupils progress through the school. The result is that pupils are gaining meaningful qualifications, enabling them to look more widely when considering options at the end of Year 11." OFSTED Sept 23.
The school were graded "Good" overall by OFSTED in September 2023, with Behaviour & Attitudes being graded, "Outstanding."
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that pupils continue to make outstanding progress in English whilst contributing to the wider life of the school. The Leader will be passionate about learning within English, ambitious both for the school and within their own career and fully committed to the vision and values of Hope View School and its pupils.
