Full Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a band 3 departmental secretary at our site in Basingstoke.
We are looking for a self-motivated Administrator to undertake the interesting and varied role that covers a wide range of duties within the dietetic department. Duties will include administrative and clerical tasks, working closely with the adult dietetic team.
The role holder will flex with the needs of the service providing general administration and other duties commensurate with the banding of the post in order that our patients have a high quality experience.

Main duties of the job
+ To ensure and facilitate prompt communication with referrers to the adult dietetic service
+ To work with the dietetic assistant to ensure the efficient recording of various data onto an excel spreadsheets to provide the department with accurate and detailed statistics, including the recording of patient contact information.
+ To ensure good communication with the main therapy admin team as required to ensure smooth systems and processes in place for allocation of rooms, patient appointments etc.
+ To answer the telephone to inpatient staff with referrals and queries coming into the department, and to patients with questions and queries
+ To ensure security and safety measures are adhered to within Therapy Services by following departmental procedures, Happy to Talk Flexible Working - all requests for flexible and part time working will be considered.
