Full Job Description
You will be working both in the young person's family home and across the wider community. As part of this role, you will be working on a one-to-one basis with the young person, supporting them to access a range of indoor and outdoor activities and develop daily living skills.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a package of provision which meets the outcomes of the young person's EHCP, so strong communication and organisation skills are a must.
Requirements
- Must be calm and flexible, with a positive and friendly demeanour
- Must have experience and confidence in supporting neurodivergent young
- Must have a car that can be used as part of the role (mileage will be paid)
- Must have experience working with young persons who have barriers to
- Ideal to have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team, reporting to teachers /package coordinators through written and verbal mediums
- Ideal to have experience supporting a young person's preparation for adulthood
- A full, clean driver's license and car. Non-drivers should not apply for this role.
- Desirable to have a teaching assistant (or equivalent) qualification
- Desirable to have a level 1 safeguarding qualification - will be provided as part of the role if not
- Ideal to have an advanced DBS check on the update service, but this will be
people, particularly those with anxiety and trauma
