Full Job Description

  • Undertake testing, installation/repairs and maintenance work on a variety of Wolverhampton City Council domestic properties as instructed within the range of the electrical trade to an acceptable standard.

  • Complete electrical and associated works in the following areas of

  • the business. Repairs & Maintenance, Building Solutions, Voids, Aids & Adaptations, Planned Improvement Programme and EICR Programme.

  • Undertake the full spectrum of electrical duties, and associated trade work to ensure satisfactory completion.

  • Ensure that the relevant teams are informed of issues relating to the general estate management, property condition, void abandonment, rubbish, response repairs and safeguarding issues requiring attention.

    Can you demonstrate significant experience of working in the built environment and/or maintenance and social housing environment?

  • Are you willing and keen to undertake specific training to develop specific competence in the role including Health and Safety Training?

  • Do you have a qualification in City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent NVQ level 3, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations latest amendment and Inspection & Testing certificate (2391) or equivalent?
