Engineering Technician

SWG are at the forefront of Site Investigations specifically serving the onshore renewable energies market. We are a relatively small (but well formed) team of Engineering Geologists, Drillers and Technicians working hard to provide the best quality service we can to our clients large and small. Although named from our roots, we work all across the UK, so travelling and visiting all parts of the country is part of the remit of our site based staff.

As part of this varied role, you will be trained to undertake specific tasks such as:

· Gas & groundwater monitoring

· Soil strength testing

· Pile testing

· Along with more general tasks such as sample collections and site deliveries.

Although we would like someone with some experience, we are more than happy to train you across the variety of tests and site procedures we undertake. We also have a UKAS accredited geotechnical laboratory in Tiverton that you will also spend time in, so you can get a broader knowledge of the full site investigation process.

We are looking for people who love working in the great outdoors, can work under their own initiative, can represent us professionally, and can muck in with the rest of the team to get the job done.

Starting salary of £25750, with regular overtime available and a 'staying away' allowance of £35 per night.
