Full Job Description

To work with the Emergency Department (ED) clinical team and the Liaison Psychiatry service to care from patients who present to the Emergency department with a broad range of mental health and psychological problems including, mental health conditions, dementia, drug and alcohol related problems.

To support any patients in the ED including observation ward, who are identified as requiring closer supervision as a result of their mental or physical heath presentation that may affect their cognition, capacity or wellbeing.

  • Experience of acting in a caring role with patients with challenging behaviours, mental health needs

  • Previous experience in a hospital environment, or other care setting

  • Good standard of general education

  • NVQ
