Full Job Description

A well-established high street retailer with an in-house facilities maintenance department has a requirement for an experienced Maintenance Service Desk Advisor to provide a high-quality service to our 300+ stores across the UK and Europe, liaise with internal departments including the maintenance team (5 x Area Maintenance Managers, 28 x Regional Maintenance Technicians and a building surveyor). Will also need to liaise with external account managers, contracts managers, technical managers and engineers. The role will be based on a static site in Birmingham reporting to the FM Servicedesk Supervisor.

The advisor will mainly cover Maintenance Areas 1&2 (Scotland down to the Midlands) and provide admin support for 100+ stores, 10 x in-house techs and 2 x Area Maintenance Managers.

Project Coordination - supporting Projects Managers with purchase orders, communications between shop teams, contractors and Project Managers, relating to programme updates, delivery dates and general progress updates. Organising project admin and keeping project files updated and in order.

Energy Saving administration - running weekly energy reports from our energy dashboard, identify energy wastage from the live data, working with shop teams and maintenance engineers to identify the problems and remedy them to reduce energy consumption. Oversee and manage the electricity meter upgrades, communicating with shop teams and meter suppliers on dates.

  • Experience working for a service & maintenance contractor within building services/ HVAC service/ maintenance / FM

  • Be a commutable distance of Birmingham

  • A qualification in reporting and/or Health & Safety would be an advantage

  • A team player; whilst the advisor will have an area to concentrate on, there is a team of 3 x advsiors who need to support each other.

  • Accurate; Ensuring that work orders are logged in a succinct, accurate manner on the correct priority., maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
