Full Job Description

Are you ready to start your career within the finance industry with a passionate and dedicated company? PETA Ltd are proud to be working with Runfold Plastics to recruit and train a new Finance Administrator Apprentice to support the team. You will have a varied role within the organisation, gaining an insight into business operations., As a Finance Administrator Apprentice you will be supporting the management team with recording, reporting and setting out financial information of all financial transactions, prepare annual accounts and manage submissions for relevant bodies as required by the company and law.

  • Maintain the accounting records & prepare annual accounts for accountants using Sage software

  • Prepare and maintain all aspects of the Sales ledger including invoicing, statements, receipts & credit control

  • Prepare and maintain all aspects of the Purchase ledger including allocating, coding, authorising and posting purchase invoices, agreeing statements and payment of suppliers in a timely fashion

  • Resolve queries and disputes in a quick and efficient manner

  • Produce basic monthly management accounts and prepare annual budget
  • Prepare VAT returns and quarterly EEC sales lists

  • Perform the weekly and monthly payroll function including submissions to HMRC

  • Prepare, record and pay any additional requirements such as Companies House, CSA or Deductions as may be necessary as part of the accounting or payroll function

  • Carry out bank reconciliation and assist with cash flow forecasts

  • Liaise with banking batters, accountants and other professionals as required
  • Assist with the maintenance of personnel files, including holiday, pension and sick records

  • Assist with the analysis of operating and manufacturing costs

  • Assist with answering of telephones and field calls to the rest of the company

    Attention to detail, Basic knowledge of IT systems, Structured and organised, Able to manage workload, High level of accuracy, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4) Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4) Essential
    NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or equivalent AAT (Grade Level 2) Essential
