First Aid Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring First Aid Lead to join the team at Laurus Ryecroft. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading on the assessing of First Aid problems presented by students and staff, taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency and communicating with staff and parents as necessary.

This position is contracted on a 32 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please see the Job Description attached below)

• Assess the medical and welfare needs of students and staff, and administer front-line First Aid.


• Ensure that students with ongoing medical needs are supported in school in line with their Individual Health Care Plans, administer approved medication to students and maintain records and reports, including those for statutory requirements


Key Skills & Experience

• Sound educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent


• First Aid Certificate or willing to work towards and attain this qualification


• Experience of First Aid
