Full Job Description

  • To manage all aspects of fundraising and sponsorships within the Step Up Network CIC.


    • Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and review a funding strategy for the network (including managing all operational requirements for this plan).

  • Work with the Founder & Chair and relevant Vice Chairs to manage the finances accurately and develop fundraising activities from such work.

  • Ownership, writing, implementation and monitoring of all fundraising and sponsorship related policies.

  • Act as the main point of contact for sponsors and funders.

  • Write high quality bids and funding applications.


    • Logistics

    This is a remote role which you can volunteer from in any area of the UK. You will work within our team under the direction of our Vice Chair for Strategy & Impact and the Vice Chair for Partnerships & Programmes. It might be appropriate for you to attend our annual in-person strategy day, but this will be discussed during the year. The role will include regular liaison with the Founder and Chair who has responsibility for finance.

  • Fundraising strategy, We are seeking a volunteer with experience of fundraising, bid-writing and sponsorships to support and lead on the financial viability of our organisation., Have a passion for fundraising.

  • Have experience of fundraising, bid writing etc.

  • Desirably, has experience of recruiting and managing sponsors.

  • Has a good sense of humour.

  • Is confident in meeting new people.

  • Is computer literate.

  • Is comfortable presenting to others (virtual and in person).

  • Is a good communicator, who is organised.

  • Has a good level of written and spoken English.

  • Has access to a computer including a strong internet connection.

  • Aligns to the values and mission of Step Up.
