Full Job Description

As the General Manager, you will lead the team providing our one-of-a-kind immersive experiences that bring magic to life with technology and science in ticketed and pre-booked cocktail making classes (with working magic wands), and a walk-in fantasy inspired cocktail bar. This venue will have a vibrant and diverse series of weekly events and programming in addition to regular service. There will be a limited food menu, so we are looking for a candidate that has experience with quick-service pub food.

The manager of this venue will have the benefit of a fun and varied role and will lead a staff who run experiences that make our customers extremely happy and excited. A love of fantasy and magic would be a bonus, but not essential, and the most important thing here is experience, a hands-on management style, and management experience in food & beverage service.

This venue is part of The Cauldron Co., the British entertainment company that brings fantasy to life with technology and science.

Only experienced bar/restaurant managers dealing in food and beverage service will be considered for this role. Please apply with a CV & a cover letter stating why this role would be suitable for you.

Main Duties will include:

  • Cocktail, bar and limited food service

  • Hiring and training staff members

  • Maintaining venue operations, the general experience and the atmosphere during service

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including cash up, banking stock control and maintenance

  • Adhering to company regulations and recommended service formats/procedures in order to deliver the high end product our patrons have come to expect from The Cauldron venues

  • Facilitating the appropriate "magical atmosphere" created by the staff and venue


  • Management:

  • Working closely with Implementation Consultants to ensure smooth operations


  • Communicate effectively policy with staff


  • Maintain company standards


  • Oversight on all opening and closing procedures


  • Managing staff through their daily service routines


  • Knowledge of roles performed within the venue


  • HR - Staff hire, staff timesheets, holidays and disciplinary


  • Ensuring staff well being
