Do you know how to get the best out of students? We are seeking to appoint a reflective and committed teacher to join our successful Geography Department from September 2024.

Bitterne Park School is a large community school (Number on roll: 2000) with a strong tradition of academic achievement. We are an inclusive school providing an excellent education for 11-19 year olds driven by our core values of Respect; Believe, and Achieve.

The successful candidate will either be, or aspire to be, an excellent classroom practitioner. We are looking for a teacher who is excited by teaching Geography and looking for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students, both in the classroom and as part of our school community. We also teach BTEC travel and tourism to years 9-13. The geography department are a supportive and highly collaborative team and are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to be part of their continued development.

The support for you as an ECT includes a bespoke school led ECT CPD programme, research-led provider training, 1:1 mentoring and additional ECT development time.

We are committed to pedagogical coaching as the most effective way of developing our classroom practice and this is available to any member of staff wishing to opt into this element of our CPD programme.
