Full Job Description
- Operate excavators and dumpers safely and efficiently to carry out excavation works on domestic extension sites.
- Locate and identify underground services (water, electric, gas) prior to excavation and ensure their protection during groundworks.
- Coordinate with site managers and project supervisors to execute excavation tasks according to project specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate with a team of groundworkers and construction professionals to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in the installation of drainage systems, including moving drain runs, introducing manholes, and setting top water gullies.
- Participate in the preparation and laying of concrete foundations using provided laser level equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices at all times, ensuring compliance with current laws and company policies.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and precision in all excavation and groundworks activities.
We are seeking an experienced Excavation Groundworker to join our team on a full-time basis, focusing primarily on domestic extension projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of groundworks experience, with a strong background in operating excavators and dumpers. Proficiency in locating and working around underground services such as water, electric, and gas is essential for this role., Minimum of 3 years of experience in groundworks, particularly in domestic extension projects. - Proven experience operating excavators and dumpers, with valid certifications/licenses.
- Proficient in locating and working around underground services (water, electric, gas) to avoid damage and ensure safety.
- Familiarity with drainage systems, including installing and moving drain runs, manholes, and top water gullies.
- Experience in setting and leveling concrete foundations using laser level equipment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Demonstrated adherence to health and safety regulations and a proactive approach to mitigating risks.
- Willingness to contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment., Additional certifications in excavator and dumper operation.
- Experience working within a team of individuals who have collaborated effectively on construction projects.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws and regulations.
