Reporting to the Financial Control and Accounting Director, the Group Technical Accounting Manager (GTAM) will be responsible for the successful delivery of the external audit and the production of the annual report and financial statements and to provide expert advice to the wider Charity on Technical accounting matters. To achieve this aim, the GTAM will be required to work with a broad range of stakeholders across the charity to provide guidance and challenge on accounting standards as required and deputise for the Financial
Control and Accounting Director on Technical accounting matters as required.As our Group Technical Accounting Manager you will also:Line manage a team of 3 experienced qualified technical accountants (2 direct and 1 indirect)Manage the technical accounting team, provide mentoring to develop junior members of the team, manage workload and provide support as requiredLead on external audit and statutory reporting; Management of the timetable, all audit escalations and the delivery of improvements to audit control findings. Control and oversight of notes production and consolidated annual reportOwn the Financial accounting and the application of standards; Review of key corporate finance areas, such as finance leases, provisions, WACC assessments etc.Be responsible for Technical accounting updates and training; Plan and deliver accounting treatment and audit readiness training for the wider finance team, provide advice on key investment requests as required,Own Corporate Development
