Full Job Description

The Head of Quality Transformation is responsible for the roadmap development, implementation and leadership of the quality improvement and transformation plans and QUA governance rhythms supporting the VP Quality Working cross-Functionally across Safran Seats GB Ltd and in liaison with sister Business Units in France and the US.

In addition, the incumbent will oversee a number of local improvement initiatives from concept to delivery across processes, systems and people.
This role will be leading and coaching the staff in driving an effective improvement journey.

Lead and champion strategic initiatives to drive organisational change, utilising industry-standard change management frameworks,

  • Personal mastery over driving organisational excellence - utilising transformational leadership approaches and methodologies

  • The role focusses on people and organization to establish and develop a Quality culture

  • Communicates with and presents information to Senior Management and cross functions in SGB

  • Responsible for leading the strategic projects across all Quality functional teams

  • This is cross functional focussed on project deliver and cultural change so an adaptive and servant leadership style is expected Interaction with customers and suppliers as required

    Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering / Manufacturing related discipline.


  • Lean / 6 Sigma knowledge and general improvement tools


  • Experience in aerospace (or similar) quality processes and procedures including QRQC and APQP


  • In-depth knowledge of Aerospace Regulations eg EASA, FAA, AS9100 etc
