We are actively seeking a motivated and highly skilled individual to take on the role of Head of Science at Borden.The role is suitable for an experienced Head of Science or a proficient science lead (ideally in chemistry or physics) who is poised to take the next step in their career. The Head of Science role presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator and curriculum strategist. In the position, you will lead the science department in crafting curricula and employing teaching methods designed to foster a genuine interest and passion for science among our students.The successful candidate will be dedicated to upholding consistently high standards of teaching and learning while cultivating a culture that encourages the sharing of best practice. Joining a popular and successful department of enthusiastic and highly qualified teachers across all three science disciplines, you will be immersed in a school environment that champions a broader and richer perspective beyond the curriculum. Within science, extracurricular projects include student activities such as trips to CERN, hands-on laboratory experiences in industrial-standard facilities, and a continuous primary science outreach program
The ideal candidate should bring extensive experience in curriculum and assessment planning, and demonstrate a proven track record of achieving outstanding student outcomes. A strong team player with a passion for science education and the ability to lead a team of like-minded individuals. The successful candidate should be confident that Borden takes student and staff wellbeing seriously and is the perfect place to develop themselves further as a teacher or leader.
