Full Job Description

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo, and as a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

  • Various HGV driving duties, including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use, complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.

  • Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.

  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.

  • Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.

  • Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations

  • Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times

  • You may be required to drive 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.

    Qualifications. Class 2 Driving Licence (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class licence.

  • Experience. Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge.

  • Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.

  • Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.

  • Planning & Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
