  • Designing, conducting, and analysing aquifer pumping tests;

  • Evaluating data using a variety of techniques such as GIS, geostatistics, statistics, or time-series analysis;

  • Practicing quality assurance/quality control procedures for modelling, report preparation, and technical presentations to clients, regulators, and other interested parties;

  • Contributing to or leading preparing proposals to clients involving our multi-disciplinary technical solutions.

  • These areas of practice are applied to project work which may include radioactive waste disposal safety case/performance assessment, excavation dewatering optimisation, water resources needs, permitting or assessing the potential impacts of site closure.
    Our work is international and the roles would include involvement in projects in the USA, Australia and continental Europe as well as within the UK, across environmental, water, waste, mining, energy and coastal sectors, giving outstanding opportunities for a diverse, exciting workload and career.

    You are likely to have a Master of Science qualification or PhD in geosciences, engineering, or a closely related field that includes an academic basis in geology, structural geology and hydrology. In addition, we expect you would have:
  • Work experience yielding a solid understanding of geological / hydrogeological principles and practices from field and office based positions

  • Substantial experience in site characterisation in various geological environments

  • Proficiency in the use of ground modelling tools such as Leapfrog and hydrogeological modelling tools including MODFLOW

  • Awareness, and for more senior roles, proficiency in object-oriented programming (R, C++, etc.) with some exposure to and/or willingness to learn Python

  • Experience with applying geochemistry to groundwater and surface water problems

  • We place particular value on interpersonal skills underpinning great team-work, and our staff will always bring a 'can-do' positive problem-solving mentality, teamworking and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
