As we continue to grow, we're excited to announce a new opportunity for a Hygiene Team Leader to join our night shift team at our Wallingford facility. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our factory during night operations, specifically focusing on the Manuka shift.

The Hygiene Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the Hygiene Operatives on the night shift, providing clear direction and guidance to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the factory. This role will involve training and assessing team members, attending GMP audits, and implementing corrective actions to maintain hygiene standards.,

  • Team Management: Provide clear direction to the hygiene team, ensuring all members are trained and competent in their roles. Monitor team performance and provide support as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

  • GMP Audits: Attend GMP audits on site and take responsibility for hygiene corrective actions. Close out audit actions promptly and effectively, addressing root causes of non-conformances and implementing robust fixes.

  • Training and Development: Complete appraisal passports for Hygiene Operatives in a timely manner, ensuring ongoing training and development to maintain high standards.

  • Standard Operating Procedures: Demonstrate and follow agreed standard operating procedures, role-modelling correct standards and behaviours to the team.

  • Safety and Hygiene Standards: Monitor and drive standards for the working area, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Implement cleaning CIC cards and schedules to maintain cleanliness standards.

  • Team Leadership: Plan, organise, manage, and motivate the team to achieve targets, fostering a positive and productive working environment.

    Technical Skills: Trained in chemical handling, CIP, COSHH, and root cause analyses (desirable). Food Safety Level 2 certification is also desirable.

  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Communication and Attention to Detail: Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with a desire to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

  • Methodical Approach: A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving, ensuring effective resolution of issues as they arise.
