Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an NHS Laundry based in Cwmbran. We are looking to recruit a Laundry Assistant to work in Green Vale Laundry., The post holder will be required to carry out tasks within all sections of the laundry as and when required from receiving, sorting, processing soiled and infectious linen, through to dispatching clean linen to our customers.
The post holder will be required to perform in set areas of work, but within an overall flexible framework. The main areas of work include sorting, the wash house, calendars, dry fold, packing and dispatch.

The role will suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to work in a busy production environment that processes linen for Hospitals and Health care premises across South East Wales., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply., We have high standards and expect everyone to embrace our values of Listening & Learning, Working Together, Taking Responsibility & Innovating, whilst ensuring trust, honesty and compassion are implicit in everything that we do. Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum.
