Lecturer in Game Design

0.5FTE, 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

£32,732 - £39,096 per annum pro rata

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented individual to join our dynamic team as a Game Design Lecturer at City College Norwich.

 This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in art and expertise in digital drawing software, particularly Photoshop. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in inspiring and educating the next generation of digital artists and game designers. As a passionate advocate for games and gaming trends, you will have a strong commitment to staying up to date with the latest games and industry advancements. You will also have the opportunity to support offsite trips and visits to conventions which further enrich the student learning experience.

The UAL Game Design curriculum has a well-established presence at Level 2 and 3. The successful candidate will be required to teach on our UAL Level 2 and 3 Diplomas. A good awareness of the UAL awarding body assessment and moderation is desirable.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that the requirements of the qualifications outlined in the specification/s are met and you will deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging. You will provide high levels of challenge and support progress through ongoing feedback in a variety of forms to ensure that students can achieve their full potential and high grades.
