An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join this growing Commercial Property department within its office based in Winchester.

My client is a leading Legal 200 law firm. You will be assisting experienced Partners in its caseloads with a role that's fast-paced and varied throughout, with a team that specialises in all areas of commercial property, including development work.

The role will be to support fee earners with the following:

  • Produce documents and correspondence as directed by lawyers

  • Efficient handling of telephone enquiries and calls generally

  • Provision of assistance to and dealing with tasks as delegated

  • To set up new files and new matters accurately and speedily on instructions from lawyers

Good literacy skills and an understanding of providing secretarial/administrative support to professional staff

  • An accurate and good typing speed (at least 60 wpm)

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word and other Office products

  • Experience of working in a professional law-firm environment.

  • Be a good team player with a willingness to offer support to others and a "can-do" attitude

  • Be enthusiastic, flexible and efficient with a helpful and friendly manner for dealing with clients and colleagues

  • You will receive further training and development throughout your career from day one. The successful candidate will also be able to take advantage of the hybrid working policy which is a minimum of 5 days a fortnight in the office and the remaining days may be worked from a remote working location.

In order to apply, you would ideally have pre-existing Commercial Property experience in place, however the firm would be keen to review candidates from an administrative background that wish to transition this into a career within law.
