Licensed Practical Nurse | Community Mental Health

This position, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients such as wound care, IV, catheter care and pleurex drains.

The Community LPN administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.

The scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population.

The LPN Provides nursing care within the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and within employer policies, procedures, limits and conditions.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from07 : 00 to 19 : 00, 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 hours.

Tamarack Cottage is a 7 bed tertiary care facility for clients requiring longer-term psychosocial rehabilitation. 5 beds are Tertiary Specialized Long-term Care and 2 beds are Tertiary Rehabilitative.
