Full Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, customer-orientated Local Produce Associate to join the team in our new and unique 100 percent local Kendal flagship store. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and selling fresh produce in a retail environment, with some involvement in food prep and barista-ing to our grab and go customers (barista training given). If you have excellent communication skills, time management abilities, a passion for customer service and bags of enthusiasm we encourage you to apply!
- Responsibilities:
- GCSE or equivalent (required)
- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (required)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

- Delivering the best possible shopping experience when serving customers
- Taking a pride in the detail of the shopping environment, replenishing displays and ensuring efficient stock rotation, date monitoring etc
- Some food prep involvement for our grab and go offering, making artisan sausage rolls, pastries and sandwich fillings - your chance to get hands-on and creative (training given)
Strong communication skills in English
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Prior experience in retail, hospitality or customer service would be beneficial
- Willingness to learn about various produce items and their seasonal availability
- Collaborative, team-orientated, enthusiastic and friendly,
