Maintenance Technician Apprentice - Breedon Cement 57-1438

Breedon Cement Ltd are looking for a Maintenance technician apprentice to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship. Our team of engineers & craftsperson's specialise in designing, building, operating & maintaining an array of impressive machines & large structures such as Mobile plant, Crushers, Kilns, various types of conveyors & grinding mills. By learning a wide breadth of practical skills such as welding, fabrication, machining & hand skills the candidate will learn how to, and be able to, strip down, rebuild, service and repair large and impressive machinery.

Role & responsibilities

During your apprenticeship you will gain experience in the below:

• Improving the workplace with respect to health, wellbeing safety & environment


• Weld, fabricate, use machine tools, technical drawing and strip down, rebuild, service and repair large machinery


• Machine Installation & commissioning


• Planned / unplanned & preventative machinery maintenance


• Manufacture & Repair of engineering components


• Trouble shooting and fault finding to solve issues with machinery


• Engineering machinery Optimisation & Improvements


• Gain experience & confidence in transferable soft skills so you feel comfortable working with your own initiative or part of a team

• Ability to balance the demands of the learning programme and those of the working environment, GCSE English language C or 4 or above
