Job purpose We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Marina/Boatyard Operative.

You will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of the yard and marina as well as the hands-on work required in a busy yard. Ensuring an efficient, safe, organised and positively focused yard operation.

Prime tasks and You'll be assisting planning and organizing boat movements and lifting equipment maintenance.

responsibilities Conducting routine maintenance and checks across the marina site.

Operating machinery (for boat launches, lift-outs and block-offs). Stepping and un-stepping masts, operating the sill gate.

Ensuring the business operates in line with the Industry Code of Practice standard and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation for all staff, tenants, contractors, customers and general public - - full training provided.

Skills and experience You should have a genuine passion for working with or around boats. Having a good understanding of boatyard operations - lift, launch and day-to-day marina activities is desirable.

If you have experience working with hoists, cranes or forklifts that could be a real benefit, but not essential as all training is provided.

It's an outdoors job, so you'll need to be comfortable working in a physically demanding position in all weathers!

Customer service is at the heart of what we do, so you should have good experience working with the public and delivering excellent customer service.,

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

• Marina/boatyard: 1 year (preferred)


• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
