As a Business Partner in the Group Marketing Communications team, you will be the key point of contact for our Transport Division - Highways, becoming the go-to person for divisional marketing communications needs.

You will be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, operating as the conduit for all marketing communications activity across the Division, ensuring the flow of requirements between the Division and Group Support is well co-ordinated, messaging aligns with the Division business plan and the Group Marketing Communications strategic priorities: Win work, Retain talent and Attract talent. You will measure the impact of delivery, ensuring divisional marketing communications plans are aligned with and underpin M Group Services mission, vision and values and Marketing Communications strategic KPIs.,

  • Develop, own and manage the delivery of a fully-costed Marketing Communications Plan for the division

  • Work with the Group marketing communications team to ensure the delivery of internal and external, multi-media, targeted marketing communications for the division

  • Report regularly to Senior Leaders on the performance and impact of marketing communications delivery against agreed KPIs

  • Take the lead on the delivery of events for the division

  • Build and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the capabilities and business priorities for the division and its operating businesses

  • Support the delivery of timely editing and proof-reading services

  • Participate in the Group Incident Management Team and Business Continuity arrangements

  • Keep up to date with current affairs, industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and developments.

    Evidence of strong relationship management skills, with the ability to challenge people.

  • A strategic mindset and a proven track record of delivering timely, practical, innovative and creative marketing communication solutions to complex issues in high profile, often fast-moving situations, both internally and externally.

  • Exceptional planning, organising and prioritisation skills with demonstrable experience of planning, delivering and evaluating the impact of internal and external brand narrative, key messages and content that drive brand awareness and positively manage and develop reputation. Preferably in a multi-brand organisation.

  • Proven track record of delivering internal and external marketing communications through the most appropriate online and traditional channels and tactics for the target audience, messaging and intended outcome.

  • Demonstrable evidence of raising the profile of key areas of performance within a business.

  • Demonstrable evidence of attention to detail, high standards of written communication, adapted to meet the needs of the audience and suitable for the publication channel.

  • Proven track record of exceptional attention to detail and excellent planning and organising skills.

  • Proven track record of using data, analytics and insights to advance effective marketing communications to develop brand awareness and reputation management.

  • Proven track record of leading the delivery of timely, proportionate and accurate communications in business continuity and crisis management situations.

  • Previous sector experience is an advantage.

  • Self-motivation, initiative and enthusiasm.

  • The ability to travel regularly to different locations across the UK.
