Mobile HGV / Plant Engineer

We are looking for Mobile Engineers to cover Rail Plant, HGV's and machinery.

We will require you to carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. Attend machine breakdowns at customer sites and effect repairs to ensure minimum down time. Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary.

Ideally you will be apprentice trained in construction, HGV, agricultural or plant maintenance or be a time served mechanical fitter. Knowledge and understanding of auto-electrics, engines, transmissions, hydraulics' and pneumatics. Ability to diagnose faults on heavy construction equipment and commercial HGV's and carry out repairs as required.

Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative. A good understanding of I.T. Willing to Travel.

Applicants must have excellent organisation and communication skills with a good understanding of health and safety legislation. The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

£14 - £18 an hour - Permanent, Full-time
