Full Job Description

Bike Assist Legal, a leading motorcycle personal injury specialist, is seeking a skilled MOJ Portal and Credit Hire Handler to join our dedicated team. If you are passionate about personal injury, RTA claims, and credit hire, and have a keen eye for detail, we have an excellent opportunity for you to contribute to the success of our firm., As an MOJ Portal and Credit Hire Handler, you will manage a caseload of MOJ Portal claims, specifically focusing on Credit Hire and Storage and Recovery claims. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following the MOJ process, PI Protocol, and CPR Rules.

  • Handling inbound new claim client notifications/enquiries and providing advice.

  • Conducting initial searches/investigations, submitting CNFs, and securing client instructions.

  • Making necessary investigations/research on liability and quantum using tools such as Lawtel, Kemp, etc.

  • Progressing cases in line with the firm's procedures and protocol, reviewing compliance.

  • Identifying cases where litigation may be tactically beneficial and referring them accordingly.

  • Providing clients with professional legal advice, obtaining formal instructions.

  • Employing relevant strategy for credit hire, storage, and recovery within the MOJ.

  • Responding promptly to incoming calls and correspondence.

  • Liaising with third parties, medical agencies, experts, insurers, and relevant parties to progress cases.

  • Attending court hearings, making representations, and instructing Barristers when necessary.

  • Keeping abreast of developments in credit hire and personal injury, sharing knowledge within the team.

  • Achieving and exceeding various targets set by the firm.

    Background in handling personal injury, RTA, and credit hire claims.

  • Previous experience managing a caseload of Fast Track RTA Portal claims, including credit hire.

  • Working knowledge of the ABI/GTA.

  • Proficiency in handling credit hire claims outside of the GTA within the MOJ portal framework.

  • Ability to apply case law and legislation to individual claims.

  • Competency with case management systems, MS Office, and Outlook.

  • Good understanding of claims processes and procedures.

  • Excellent technical claims knowledge.

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
