Full Job Description

In this role, you are accountable for: 1. With support from the training team, responsible for the delivery and maintenance of operational training for all staff and work streams within NHS Pensions. Liaise with relevant specialist knowledge and technical expertise to ensure that all legal requirements of the scheme and internal processes are included. 2. To liaise with Service Delivery Managers, Team Managers, and other training personnel across NHS Pensions to enable the tailoring of further training for established staff to broaden their individual skills. 3. To support the onboarding of new recruits through provision of initial training during induction and planning future technical training for newly appointed staff to enable them to achieve the required performance standards. 4. To support the creation and maintenance of operational training materials, guidance notes, presentations and case studies for the relevant work area/stream, to ensure that all aspects of legal requirements of
the scheme and processes are captured. 5. Working with the Training Team, Quality Coaches and Managers from across the business, manage the provision and completion of learning needs and development opportunities. 6. To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all training and provide relevant recommendations and feedback to the Training Team, Team Managers and Service Delivery Managers. 7. To promote continuous improvement in the area, evolving existing methods of delivery with emerging technology advancements, managing change and supporting staff as necessary to optimise performance improvements. 8. Support NHS Pensions projects to understand how the change will impact administration of the scheme and develop training materials accordingly, referring to Service Delivery Managers and the Training Team as necessary. 9. To participate in wider organisational activities where own recognised strengths may be utilised. 10. To support Personal Development Plans for all staff and upskill for
colleagues on a career path. To liaise with the Training Team and Service Delivery Managers to ensure delivery of agreed training requirements. 11. To ensure the effective implementation of all HR policies in accordance with Authority policy. 12. To be flexible in your approach and make best use of training resources to meet business training needs, liaising with peers across the wider BSA to adopt and share best practice. 13. When not undertaking any operational training, continuously analyse recommendations from themes of complaints, quality fails, customer feedback and skills gaps to feed into evaluation of the training plan, adapting to include additional identified aspects.14. To carry out duties and responsibilities as required to support the wider team, commensurate with the job grading.
