Full Job Description

  • Lead and manage our Next Day operations - scheduling staff, optimising delivery routes, dispatching drivers and overseeing the loading unloading of items.

  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Ensure that all day-to-day deliveries and collections of our customers are completed within the agreed timescales.

  • Monitoring delivery of jobs making sure all collection and delivery confirmations are provided on our in-house platform in line with KPIs.

  • Ensure effective communication across the shifts so all areas of the operation are aware of the transport and resource plans.

  • Identify and improve processes and make them more efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with safety regulations.

  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all sites, management, suppliers, and customers.

    A strong personality with the ability to effectively manage drivers, push for operational excellence, whilst playing your part to transform our operations systems and procedures. Previous experience in a depot or courier operation with the ability to oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring timely deliveries is essential., Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the courier, logistics, or transportation industry.

  • Proven track record of exceeding delivery targets and optimizing routes.

  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, route optimization, dispatch procedures, and courier/logistic software

  • Excellent communication and positive outlook with a solution-based mindset

  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, logistics software, and data analysis tools (e.g. excel spreadsheets).

  • Valid UK driver's license


  • Additional Checks required to work within Aviation industry
  • Be able to provide 5 years address history

  • Be able to provide 5 year reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)

  • DBS / CRC Check

  • Airside Application to obtain full airside ID

  • Full Manual Driving Licence
