Full Job Description

We have a position with an immediate start for a Primary Teaching Assistant. The position is to work in a primary school and to support pupils with additional needs such as Autism and speech and language delay.

The role is to support the teacher by working with the pupils 1:1 and also in small class groups.The school offers a nurturing environment which considers a holistic approach to learning. You must be a great communicator to be able to communicate with the pupils, staffing team and parents.

The position requires someone who is dynamic and committed to helping pupils with additional needs. We are looking for someone who is committed to working either 5 days The ideal applicant for the role:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of all students.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
