Full Job Description

At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role:
The role of Motorcycle Product Marketing Manager is key to support strong delivery of marketing plans and assets from Honda Motor Europe (HME) as the central structure for European branches product Marketing Communication activities, to ensure the achievement of Honda Motorcycle Division Business Plan.

Reporting to the Marketing Department Manager, you will coordinate activities to produce compelling plans and content for new Product marketing campaigns and initiatives in line with the business objectives and support effective implementation across branches in Europe.

You will be required to have close collaboration across all the Marketing Department, close contact with Global Operations in Honda Motor (Japan), manage a small team, as well as other departments (Product, Research & Development, Sales, PR, Logistics, Accessories, Dealer Development, Training, etc) to ensure smooth delivery of marketing assets.

The role includes managing agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, helping to organise and pro-actively coordinate projects for effective delivery within objectives and budget.

Managing and attending new model video & photo shootings and selected events in Europe is required as part of the role.

Main Responsibilities:
Product Marketing

  • Collaborate and define strategic direction on new product launches and lead the execution of the annual European Marketing plans, taking full responsibility for delivering quality and managing budgets.

  • Produce high quality marketing assets relevant and effective for each campaign by coordinating and getting the best out of agencies. This includes videos, photos, brochures, press ads, social media assets, point of sale materials, CRM, etc.

  • Own the relationship with agencies and set the objectives for each new model launch.

  • Manage relationship and exchange with the global Brand team in Japan from Honda Global brand, product and sales departments.

  • Work closely with European branches, collaborating to ensure we deliver effective campaigns via a European tool kit, providing guidance and support for local branches.

  • Ensure the marketing code of practice for all product content from HME to branches is upheld for consistent brand image.

  • Support on achievement of overall Motorcycle Division and Marketing department objectives and manage the monthly product performance KPI's.

  • Select and manage key agencies to provide domain expertise to drive improved results.


  • Campaigns production
  • Project manage all activities for video and photo shootings including but not limited to agency briefings, creative approvals, logistics arrangements for motorcycles, parts, technical support, crew, clothing, insurance, risk and compliance, attendance bookings, overall plan and execution.

  • Attendance of location productions to support video, photo and social media shoots, being the lead from Honda to ensure quality control.

  • Manage all post-production activities for reviews and approvals with all stakeholders within deadlines.

  • Manage image production of new models via shooting or CGI working with design departments and suppliers. Provide art direction inputs and changes required.

  • Evaluate marketing trends from online channels and convert them into product campaigns creative insights for best target audience engagement.

  • Manage full product marketing toolkit including brochures, POS material, tactical campaigns, photography, videos, social and optimisation guides.

  • Ability to produce copy with agencies, copywriters and proofread marketing materials.


  • Budget
  • Manage the production budgets from planning to actuals.

  • Responsible for PO's and monthly report.

  • Follow-up productions budget for each product and supplier.


  • Administrative/Operational
  • Create engaging presentations to support strategy, creative and implementation of overall marketing department objectives.

  • Use internal systems to update and check information when needed.

  • Manage motorcycle gear and clothing for video/photo shootings, contact suppliers and organise logistics.

    Significant experience required to provide the depth and breadth of knowledge and personal credibility to impact at senior levels.

  • Previous experience in marketing communications (Agency or Brand).

  • Ability to communicate across regions to ensure maximum engagement and success.

  • Proven experience in managing marketing productions such as video and photography, leading activities from start to finish, both internally and externally.

  • Understanding of Motorcycle market and business knowledge and understanding of country operations.

  • Strong mix of creative, leadership and administrative skills

  • Self-sufficient and independent project management abilities, deadline driven and ability to work under pressure.

  • Diligent and strong attention to detail ensuring high quality of work output.

  • Strong ability to prepare presentations, present and get consensus with different stakeholders.

  • Result driven with understanding of Motorcycle marketing - planning, strategic thinking, product positioning, results via solid commercial awareness and understanding.

  • Frequent ability to travel to visit branches, manage photo/video shoots and events.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Competent skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Full motorcycle license advantageous.

  • Knowledge of image retouching and video editing software (Adobe CC).
