Full Job Description

This role will be responsible for the running and packing of a production line(s). They are responsible for the ongoing quality of the product made, ensuring the completion of all quality checks. They will also be responsible for running the lines. This is s shift work role covering 12 hour shifts on a rota basis and does involve two shifts - 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am. Experience of working shifts is advisable. Please note there is a night shift., · Total ownership of line (area) performance

· Monitor adherence to standards across line (area), ensuring breaches are resolved in a timely and effective way and communication is maintained with the Lead operator/ Shift Manager at all times

· Support Lead Operator in completion and updates to JTM boards. (Complete and update JTM boards

· Organize line (cell) to ensure all materials are available and prepared prior to being required to ensure no unnecessary downtime

· Ensure efficient execution of planned interruptions under the guidance and coordination of the Lead Operator (Shift Manager), and that normal operation of line (cell) is commenced as quickly as possible.

· Support the Lead Operator(s) in the leadership of the production area, working as directed by their Lead Operator to support product change overs, rework, cleaning and continuous improvement.

Skills Needed

Good educational standard with clear ability to understand and adhere to standard operating procedures within a factory environment

Ability to apply knowledge and skills in a manufacturing environment

High degree of numeracy and literacy

Good planning and organization skills

Self-motivated

Ability to learn new skills and ways of working

Time management and interpersonal skills

Proficient in current computer programs and database

Competent in manual handling with good basic manual dexterity

Ability to apply knowledge and skills in a manufacturing environment

Ability to work independently

Great team worker with excellent communication skills

Experience needed - production line knowledge and a proven track record of having worked in a similar environment is required.
