Full Job Description

  • Auditing: Undertaking a variety of internal audits within the site. Main audit types are:

  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)

  • Glass & Perspex (G & P)

  • Fabrication/Maintenance

  • Foreign body

  • Labelling & traceability

  • Label Verification: To ensure the quality (printed finish) of all labels is of a high standard, with all information present being relevant and correct. Ensuring all product claims are correct at point of labelling (e.g. customer approved, Organic etc)


  • Raw Material Intake: Ensure all raw materials coming into site are in keeping with the site requirements and specifications

  • Non-Conformances: Coordinate non-conformance findings including actions taken and report to relevant department managers and suppliers ensuring completion of any required corrective actions from day-to-day issues

  • Supplier Communication: Providing feedback of inspection results, including quality claims and rejections back to supply base.

  • CCPS, Operational Pre-Requisite Points Verification, Product and Process Inspections: Ensure that all checks are completed at the required time intervals and to the required standard in line with the H.A.C.C.P. plan. Checks include:-

  • Metal Detection

  • Product, packaging & tare accuracy

  • Product & environmental temperature monitoring

  • Environmental swabbing

  • Product/Specification match

  • Pricing & additional label checking

  • Product Quality, Testing and Assessments: To ensure that all product leaves the factory within the limits and defined criteria set out in the relevant customer specification (s) (i.e. weight, fat content, colour, temperature & presentation). Collect products and materials for testing.

  • Equipment & Scale Calibration: To complete calibration checks on items of equipment - including scales and other machinery. Checks to be completed prior to, during and post production operations on a daily basis and include calibration/checking of the following items of equipment (although not an exhaustive list):

  • Scales

  • Metal detector units

  • Steriliser unit (temperature checking)

  • Gas analysers


  • Documents: Accurate and legible completion of all required documentation is necessary as the majority of documentation which is completed by the Q.A. department must be retained as part of the site's due diligence defence

  • Audit Ready: Assist in delivery of site standards, ensure all areas are always audit ready


  • Troubleshoot and assist: Troubleshoot any Quality issues and assist all teams in delivery of the required standards

    This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 6.00pm to 2.00am with a salary of £15.94 per hour.


  • You will be responsible for ensuring all products leave the factory within the legislative and/or customer specified limits.
