Full Job Description
Provide quality assurance throughout programme and product lifecycle and acceptance events, assuring effective governance
Focus on the quality of Aquila's and suppliers' deliverables, and on what we deliver to the customer
Proactively seek opportunities and drive for continual improvement and excellence
Promoting best practice and business excellence
Providing monitoring, measurement, analysis, evaluation and reporting on the product and service quality
Ensuring quality and safety is in everything we do
Deputise for the Quality Manager when delegated
Main Tasks
Provide quality assurance support for programmes, projects and service delivery to customer deliverables and business objectives
Identification of risks and ensure these are captured in the Business and PMO risk registers
Support / lead problem management, ensure corrective actions fully implemented
Ensure that quality issues registered, and appropriate resolutions are implemented
Providing impact analysis on MAPS changes requests for quality
Carry out internal and supplier audits
Ensuring that effective root cause analysis has been completed, that corrective actions fully implemented to address nonconformances
Providing input and support to Test Readiness Reviews and conduct risk-based checks
Support, review and approve deviations and concessions
Identify opportunities for improvement , support continual improvement activities that deliver positive changes to process effectiveness, efficiencies and safety
Proactive, with the ability to deliver defined objectives
Self-motivated, capable or working on their own or in a team
Strong ability to follow process consistently and methodically
Ability to rapidly analyse and evaluate problems, risks and opportunities to improve, and to propose, support, deliver effective solutions
Commitment to delivering excellence, promoting and enshrining quality and best practice
Drives for continual improvement, Degree, HND or HNC (or equivalent) and significant experience in relevant engineering subject
Ability to understand complex technical problems, identify root causes and course of actions to assure product and service quality
Sound knowledge and experience of typical product and project lifecycles, and the roles undertaken by key team members and stakeholders
Proven track record of delivering effective quality assurance across the complete lifecycle (from concept to operations / obsolescence)
ISO9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent
Good written and oral communications to allow effective working with peers and stakeholders at technical and non-technical levels
In depth knowledge and experience of using quality and improvement tools and techniques - in particular within complex environments
Desirable
Experience of working within a Defence environment, including alignment and working within the relevant standards (e.g. DEF-STANs, JSPs)
Experience of working within Air Traffic Management or Aviation in a quality role
Experience of software quality assurance
ITIL Foundation Version 4 Foundation
Lean / Six Sigma preferably to Green Belt
