Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor within ORCE, you will be responsible for robust commercial management of various projects under the Highways Term Service Contract. You will oversee the financial and contractual performance of projects, engage with supply chain partners, and manage costs in accordance with contractual agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and managing a Trainee Quantity Surveyor.

You'll have the ability to work independently while also possessing excellent relationship-building skills, an analytical mindset, and the resilience to respond to changing priorities. You thrive in environments where you can use your initiative to creatively solve problems and effectively manage conflicting priorities. Your determination and flexibility enable you to adapt to adverse situations and deliver results consistently.,

• Proven success in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally in a regional civil engineering environment.


• NEC experience is a must, ideally option B.


• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or relevant experience).


• Ability to work independently without supervision.


• Evidence of building effective relationships with teams.


• Track record in successfully managing and delivering against deadlines.


• Good level of IT proficiency.


• General knowledge of cost management software and tools.


• Hold or working towards a professional membership with a recognised and relevant Professional body (i.e. RICS or CICES) (desirable).


• CSCS card holder (desirable).


• Understanding of Lean principles (desirable).
