Full Job Description

Position Overview: As a Site Safety Advisor with experience in mechanical and electrical systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures on our construction sites. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, you will identify and mitigate potential safety hazards related to construction sites generally, promoting a culture of safety excellence throughout our team and subcontractors alike., · Implement and enforce safety protocols, standards, and best practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards on construction sites.

· Conduct comprehensive risk assessments checks and safety inspections, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems, to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with the method statements and Approved Codes of Practice.

· Conduct Inductions and toolbox talks.

· Provide guidance and support to project teams and subcontractors on safe work practices, equipment usage, and emergency procedures related to mechanical and electrical work.

· Further develop existing safety strategies and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks etc.

· Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.

· Review project plans, specifications, and designs to identify safety concerns.

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning, execution, and completion stages.

· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and regulatory compliance documentation for internal and external reporting purposes.

· Nebosh as a minimum

· Proven experience in construction safety management, ideally with a focus on mechanical and electrical installations.

· In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to construction projects.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

· Proficiency in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training sessions.

· Ability to prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.,

  • HSE: 5 years (preferred)

    · Competitive day rate outside IR35
