Full Job Description

To work in the waste managment/recycling industry, in a busy and lively office dealing with the daily booking of all transportation jobs via telephone, email & what's app and all associated paperwork and end user information for each job. Also dealing with all transport paperwork relating to the job contracts and vehicles, as well as general office administration.

Must have a good telephone manner, be computer literate and eager learn. Must also be able to work in a fast paced, pressurised environment and be part of a team. Full training will be given.

General Duties:

  • Taking all bookings via telephone, email and what's app and entering on the

  • computerised booking system
  • Dealing with email bookings and emailing customers to confirm bookings

  • On job completion, entering all relevant information onto the computerised

  • booking system i.e. ticket number, drivers details
  • Processing job tickets and tipping tickets

  • Updating the customer job records daily on excel spreadsheets and keeping

  • customer records up to date
  • Obtaining purchase order numbers, and printing any relevant purchase orders

  • Checking and replying to emails

  • Printing emails i.e. purchase invoices, job tickets

  • Dealing with suppliers to book in any sub-contracted work

  • Obtaining quotes from approved suppliers for any new sub-contracted work

  • Liaising with Transport Manager throughout the day to discuss job bookings

  • Marketing/media - keeping Instagram, Facebook, Linked-in etc up to date and

  • relevant
  • Sending daily emails to elite customers to confirm job bookings for the

  • following day
  • Keeping skip sub-contractor database updated

  • Filing purchase invoices, sales remittance and purchase statements

  • Holiday cover within the office for other members of the team

  • General ad hoc duties
