Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Office Manager and/or Administrator to manage our school office and administration team and support the School Business Manager in overseeing the administration of school business.

Purpose of the Job

  • To oversee the daily administration of the school office on our Infant and Junior sites.


  • To line manage our team of administrative staff.


  • To manage, maintain, review and improve administrative systems.


  • To identify key priorities and areas for improvement.


  • To ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, responsive and professional front of house services and school administrative support services.

    The ability to manage resources to ensure the daily operations of the administrative team are delivered effectively.


  • The ability to lead a team including supporting colleagues with their professional development, holding colleagues to account and overseeing performance management for their team.


  • The successful candidate will be empathetic, professional, highly organised, highly adaptable and flexible.


  • The successful candidate will have a personal commitment to upholding the school's code of conduct for employees and be committed to promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.


  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and experience of managing Management Information Systems (or similar).


  • The successful candidate will be solutions driven with an ability to think creatively.


  • An ability to work with minimal supervision and direction, multi-task and use their initiative.


  • A commitment to providing an excellent service to all parents and carers, and other external partners and stakeholders.


  • The ability to manage challenging situations.
