Full Job Description

An exciting permanent full-time opportunity has arisen to join our busy Isle of Wight Council Corporate Application IT team.

Your work will be varied providing specialist technical support, administration, assisting with a large project implementation and development for key Isle of Wight Council corporate applications used by both our internal and external customers.

This role will involve working initially with Childrens Services and include configuration and administration of systems based on the changing needs of the business, ensuring delivery in a timely, cost-effective manner that meets customer needs and expectations.

We are looking for a self-motivated and well organised IT professional with experience of managing and understanding applications, databases and datasets as well as experience in providing system administration and configuration to applications.

The successful candidate will be organised with excellent communication skills who can use their own initiative and also work effectively as part of a team/project using collaborative tools such as MS Teams.

A good working knowledge of the following systems would be beneficial but not essential:

    The Isle of Wight Council is a champion of agile and flexible working practices, and this role will require a hybrid blend of remote and in-person office working. If preferred, there is the option to work entirely from our various council offices. The main ICT offices are based in County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight.
